Autumn

Autumn is a time when nature bursts with its last little bit of beauty before it bunkers down for Winter. Revel in it. Commercialism would have us all wrapped in cashmere and onesies, gloves and fluffy boots this May if it could, but don't do it. it's Autumn not Winter.  Enjoy the crisp warm tones of Autumn, crunch some leaves underfoot and feel the chill in the air, don't shut it out just yet.
I've been enjoying a cuppa on the studio deck most mornings with Bear. We always find a creature or two when we are down there and he insists on bringing them home too.

…and hold onto your hats, I have begun a lifetime relationship with wool! (Mum taught me last weekend and even allowed me to knit one square for her blanket, but after unpicking it half a dozen times, she sniggered "you're a liability". I was as slow as a wet week, but practice makes perfect, right!?

…..yep, snails-pace

And just one more Autumn image. I "borrowed" this image from a friend on Facebook, the cutest toadstool you have ever seen, right in her backyard. Magical!

Happy Autumn

  1. Gorgeous images Liv, Autumn's a beautiful season. Both the chair inside the studio and the deck look very inviting, you need to share more of a peek of the studio with us I feel. Wishing you a lovely weekend, and of course a very special mother's day.

    1. Fi, the studio resembles more of a bedroom at the mo. My inlaws are coming this week to look after Bear whilst I'm on prac, and the studio is all theirs. But I'll get it looking pretty again and snap some nice pics soon xxx
      Happy MD for tmrw xx

  2. It is funny to read about autumn when here the leaves are still unfurling and my quince tree is in blossom. You are sharing some beautiful photos Liv, really beautiful. I particularly love the big seed pod. We don't get them over here, not that big. Knitting is very therapeutic and is best enjoyed in autumn I find. Enjoy the rest of autumn!

  3. Autumn! I still can't wrap my mind around how our years mirror each other! These pictures are SO cool. That tree full of parrots? A toadstool? And your studio looks like it's come together SO beautifully! Thanks for sharing!
