Kids were here

A few months back I linked up with the Kids were project, a collaborative project involving lots of different photographers sharing their view of what life with children looks like. Here are my link ups in: June: and August:

As you may have read in my last few posts, this past week has been taken up largely by Christmas Craft workshops, so a few things have slipped under the decipline radar (but not the camera lens)
Warning: some images may offend viewers!

God has a funny sense of humour giving me three boys (+ 1 girl).
If you are a mum to multiple boys, you may relate
hereherehereherehere.....and the list goes on.

Much Love

  1. Hi Olivia, thanks for stopping by my blog and your nice comment. I love these photos! It's good to see the reality of life with kids isn't just in my house, it's everywhere. You've inspired me to try to capture and celebrate it more, rather than always tidying up before I take photos.

    1. Thank Gillian, it sure is a reality! Not sure if I should celebrate the rude ones! (naughty boys!)

    1. Thanks Fi,
Yes that is one of mine. I have an easy store and a pinterest account both have my paintings. If you scroll to the top of this page on the RHS it says "MyShop" that will take you to my whimsical map paintings at Etsy, but if you look up 'Olivia Denahy' on pinterest and scrolto 'My Art' my other still lifes and landscapes are there.
      Any rain yet?

  3. I love this "Kids were here" meme going around and did intend on doing it too but I made a pact with myself to not sign up to any more linky's this year (as my failure rate at continuing them after the first couple of times was getting a bit embarrassing!). Love the photos, no alarm bells going off for me, as with 4 boys of my own, the very same photos could be taken here :-) Mel x

    1. Thanks Mel, it will be (???) a cute/horrid reminder of the mischief our babes get up to! I'm sure we'll laugh in years to come but right now its still very much a reality. x

  6. The knocked over tree tickled my fancy, so hear you loud and clear about boys!! To give you another view;) yesterday after a particularly trying session with my 9 & 12 yr old girls, I rang my husband and said, "Just had major attitudes and tears with the girls, I've decided I'm really happy if the baby (due in 4 weeks) is a boy, far easier" All the kids though are really wanting a sister, with boys far in the majority here.

    1. Oh Erin, I've heard boys are harder when they are young and girls harder when they are older....all different I guess. This little one of yours will have so much love and attention that it won't have time to be naughty! x
